The police was convinced OJ did it, and wasn't willing to consider anything else. Which is and was wrong.
Jury was influenced by the fact that OJ was famous and that the media was providing so much coverage. Also, people made such a racial issue out of this. They maybe didn't want another "Rodney King" like riot.

I still don't understand how in crimanal law they found him not guilty, and in the civil trial guilty...they went off on all diffrent subjects dna that I think the jury lost sight of everything else. Alot of unanswered questions. who did do it. I don't think the children should be with OJ just for the fact that they found him guilty in the civil trial. His son may have done it, he didn't like nicole and ron got in the way, but I also think OJ knew about it weather it was his son or someone else.

I really do not care about the O.J. simpson trial. For all of the unjustice that affected blacks in america, I am quite pleased with the jury's decision. Because O.J. was able to afford the best attornies, he was able to get off. Yes he is black and he has escaped being convicted in the same manner that his white male counterpart would have with or without the wealth that O.J. has. Justice was never truly a policy of the U.S. government. It was established to protect the wealthy ( Worked for O.J. idn't it). It is a racist judicial system in the sense that it is able to suppress a race of people due to the chemical composition of their skin. It was designed that way.. This is one murder vs. millions upon millions that Europeans/non -melininated peoples have committed against Africans and blacks in america. It literally kills caucasians to see a wealthy black man get away with cold-blooded murder ( the caucasian field of expertise). Caucasians detest the fact that he was aquitted of killing caucasian female and there was nothing that could be done about it. Life Goes On. Africans and Black americans have been murdered by non-melininated people for thousands of years and there was no one there to convict caucasians or imprison them!!!!!!!!!! I believe the tremendous amount of racism, which is still rampant in this country, has a lot to do with why O.J. was suspected in the very beginning. Being an African American woman, I can say, from experience with dealing with African Americans all of my life, that this was not a crime committed by a black man. A knife is not the choice of weapon for the black man, a gun is. Had O.J. intended to kill Nicole out of jealousy, it would not have been in this manner. I'm pretty sure of that.

Unless you were there sitting in the jury, or in the prosecution or defense, or a witness, you really don't have enough information to make an intelligent response to such questions as guilt or custody. For all we know, the militant westinghouse entertainment corporation rigged the whole thing for the millions and millions they received in advertising during the trial. It spotlighted that the police 'routinely' as a matter of course, fake evidence, which brings into question even those cases where a re sonable case for guilt might have been made without it. I think O.J. was suspected so much that no real serious investigating was given to anyone elce. Afer reading Resnicks book there was no doubt in my mind that she was involved. I am a white female. I was 14 at the time of the trial and even I knew how important that was. I think the jury overstepped their role. They were supposed to decide OJ's guilt, but they instead tried to "send a message" to the LAPD.

I think this trial proves that with enough cash and the right approach by the lawyers any guilty person can go free. also think beyond a reasonable doubt should be rethought, perhaps used just to decide if the death penalty is used. Not having been on the jury, I can't even begin to guess if O.J. was guilty or innocent. I beleive what was in the media was biased. The media panders more to sensationalism than news gathering and has for many years now. Their reports are no longer reliable. I beleive the jury saw something that the general public was not privy to, or, did their duty when it cam to due process. Beleive it or not there are still some things that are not admissable (and rightly so) as evidence. For me, a man is still in ocent until proven guilty. My biggest question is, having been found not guilty of murder, how could O.J. be held responsible for the deaths? Either he did, or he didn't.

I'm not really sure it he did it, but I think that the jury acquitted him simply because of what would have arisen if he had been found guilty. Two things: (1) under the law, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty; (2) if there is reasonable doubt as to the guilt of the accused, then the jury must return a not guilty verdict. Mark Fuhrman's perjury, added to his own statements about his willingness to frame African-American suspects - even to invent evidence - should've been enough reasonable doubt for anyone. Throw in the sloppy evidence collection and maintenance of the evidence on the part of the LAPD crime lab, and I am abs lutely stumped as to why anyone would question the jury's verdict. Of Course race was a factor. How could it not be, with someone like Fuhrman even touching the evidence? After the Rodney King outcome, how could anyone, white, black, or purple, doubt the possibility of evidence tampering? I don't understand. My faith in the justice system has not been shaken; but my faith in human nature has. Horrible enough that two people were brutally murdered; but those who didn't care that they were dead bec use OJ was black and thought he should get away with it in retribution for the King verdict, and those who refused to even consider other suspects because he was black, are different sides of the same coin and should all be lumped to get together, now matter what the color of their skins.

I believe, because most of the jurors were black, I think psychologically the defense sent them the message of race. Subconsciously they were moved to the side of the defense innocently, but the deceptively brilliant plan of the defenses was too good. If Oj did not have money to hire those hot shot glamorized lawyers, the prosecutions case would have been so obvious, and it still was to all the bright thinkers in America.

While I believe that OJ probably did it, the prosecution did NOT prove its case against him. They were sloppy, disorganised, and were three steps behind the defense. Then again, I believe Judge Ito's stance on the admission of certain evidence based on the 4th Amendment and other cases was DEAD wrong. The prosecution didn't have a chance without some of that evidence, but I am not sure they would have been able to use it properly if it had been admitted.

A $200 fine for Fuehrman hardly seems to be proportionate to the potential life sentence faced by the defendant. Considering the error rate apparent in convictions (see the old rape cases overturned on DNA), it seems that substantial penalties rather than total airtight justice and revenge would serve society better in the long run, and leave some innocents out of the firing line.

The jury was tired of being sequestered and the ones who wanted to vote guilty were intimidated and wanted to go home and just gave in to end it. O.J. I think the verdict in the trial was correct. A lot of people particulary white people don't give the jury the credit they deserve. They said they were incompetant and were only trying to get back at the LAPD. The legal SYSTEM itself works. It wasn't meant to be perverted by crybaby jurors, liberal lawyers, and corrupt politicians who are more scared of riots than seeing justice served.
It is my hope that somehow, these comments get to both OJ and the members of the prosecution and defense teams involved. It is hoped that Judge Ito will seriously review and institute practices of control in the courtroom. Had this been done from the beginning, I don't think the trial might have been quite the media circus that it was, nor would the main issue of the trial have been so fragmented. I think televised trials are beneficial, but not when the Judge cannot control his own courtroom. In th s instance, Judge Ito has done more to shake my faith in the justice system than any legal representative present.

Until O. J. Simpson became a suspect--"the sole murderer" I really believed a person in this country was innocent until found guilty by a jury of his peers. He was found not guilty but the jury which found him not guilty has simply been ignored by Clark, Garcetti, many people in the media, etc. I have had many young adult foreign exchange students live in my home for many years. They ask lots of questions about our country--until Simpson became a suspect I always told the students thar in this coun ry a person is innocent until proven guilty. I don't have any idea how to answer questions about our legal system--a new aspect of which includes the D. A.'s ability to announce over national T.V. the guilt of a person who hadn't even seen a court room yet. I'm very confused about how the prosecution, news media, etc. have been allowed to judge Simpson regardless of the jury's finding.What happened to words like 'alleged'. I think
I wish that some of these o.j. suporters would start looking at the evidence and not just the wild acusations and impossible theories of the defence.

Simpson clearly murdered Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. If you have any doubt of this, read "Outrage" by Vincent Bugliosi. It is shocking and disgraceful that an obvious murderer could have been acquitted, regardless of who that murderer is.
