  • The internet promotes destructive and unhealthy forms of sex, and then in turn, places pressure on girls to perform these acts (as if they were safe, healthy and not emotionally destructive) It also gives men false ideas of what sex should be.   • Sex and the internet should be descretionatory based on an individual's preferences. As far as children are concerned, I believe it to be the parent's responsiblility to be aware of their children's activities and absolutely necessary to continually communicate with their children regarding sexuality. Also, a parent is responsible for maintaining a structured environment for the children and setting proper guidelines so they know their bounderies.

  • Sex in the internet is about as prevalent as any other source, and while it can lead the way for some beneficial things, such as opening up a channel for a frank discussion of sexuality, it can also damage it if it goes unwatched, as many studies show. The only other thing to be said is if a parent brings it into the house, the parent is responsible, as all schools have blocked sites, and most libraries have supervision both electronically and visually. Though, given how many sex sites are pay sites, it seems most of the restriction (Except for previews) is being done by the site owners inadvertantly anyways.
